Organized by the Basque Culinary Center and Quality Denomination of Origin Rioja, this gastronomy competition is open to culinary students from schools and universities all over the world who are interested in submitting their proposal for an original tapa paired with DOCa Rioja wine.
The proposal must include a written copy of the recipe, a photograph of it, the Rioja wine that they've chosen to pair their recipe with (type and brand), as well as a brief description of why they've chosen that particular wine. Entries should be sent to http://riojawine.com/tapascompetition/es/.
The winner of this competition, who will be chosen by an expert jury, will travel to San Sebastian (Basque Country) to attend a professional course on tapas paired with Rioja wines, as well as visit Rioja, dine in a key restaurant and enjoy a professional tapas tour of San Sebastián.
