ICEX Spanish Gastronomy Training Program
Since 2007, ICEX Spain Trade and Investment has offered the Spanish Gastronomy Training Program, an initiative created to provide specialized training in Spanish gastronomy for young foreign professionals, while simultaneously fostering their integral understanding of Spanish culture, language, history, and modern 21st century Spain.
Throughout the years, this program has undergone changes with regard to its length, different phases, and the number of participants and their countries of origin. However, its objectives have remained the same.
Now, in 2017, ten years after it began, ICEX initiated a review of the program for the purpose of broadening its reach and thereby making it possible to train a larger group of professionals in Spanish gastronomy and products – while maintaining the objectives that marked the creation of this unique initiative.
Due to these changes, and in order to design a new training program, the program won't be accepting applicants this year. More information about how to participate in the new initiative will be released during the second half of the year. We hope that the next phase of our program will help improve our contribution to the training of foreign professionals interested in Spanish gastronomy and this country's excellent foods and wines.
